AWA and Dragon*Con

Just the two of us

This past month has been pretty hectic. I moved to Atlanta and the weekend after the move I went to Dragon*Con.

Dragon*Con was a lot of fun, it was such a different experience. People where so nice and the events where fun. The cosplays where amazing, it was nice to see all different kinds of costumes from almost anything you could think of. I took a ton of photos and I finally got them uploaded.

Shortly after AWA happened and I had a great time when we where actually where. I was doing a lot of last minute costuming that we pretty much missed all of Friday except for the Black and White Ball. The ball was beautiful, I don't remember it being so big the last time we went and it was nice to snack on all of those sweets.

Cosplay News!

CosplayClasses

The cosplay site Cosplay Classes has decided to write a blog post about our cosplays. They called it Cosplay Lovers o0o. Alice, the owner if the site, said "when I see there photos, I can feel with happiness, I can feel with the love of them." That makes me so happy because we really do enjoy cosplaying together and we love each other so much. So make sure to show her some love!

I-95 the Jello Highway

Jello Highway

The wind in your hair out on the open road and the smell of strawberries? If you where driving down I-95 you might have saw an interesting site, a truck crashed and tasty treats spilled all over the high way. JELLO packs everywhere, spilling onto the high way to create one of the nicest smelling accidents ever possible. I wonder how many bears showed up for dessert on that stretch of highway. Unfortunately the driver of the truck was injured in the accident so we send well wishes to him and his family.

Suzumiya Haruhi takes on Hamas

there can only be ONEthere can only be ONE

Could this be a peak into how far Haruhiism has spread? Is Haruhi going to try to bring peace to the middle east. Could the Suzumiya Haruhi novels become the official religious text of Palestine.

Well obviously I am jumping ahead of myself. First is this photo a good shoop or is it legit?

News just gets weirder and weirder

I was watching my local news after the Barbra Walters special 'How to live to 150' and they had a segment on weird news. I like weird funny news stories just as much as the next guy so I listened.

Man caught having sex with a PICNIC TABLE! WHAAAAAAA????? A TABLE???!!!??? How desperate is this man (term used loosely) to want to fornicate with a table. Not only that but do it out in public so others could see him and near a playground is just plain crazy.

I have heard of men having sex with goats and chickens but a table come on. Why not be like other creepy guys and get a doll or some other toy that serves the same function. I know sites like JList.com has some very odd options available if needed, like a simulated womans lap (JList is where I happen to get the majority of my Pinky:St dolls and Bento Box things as well :D, they have a wide mix of items available).

TV UpdateTV Update

IDOL????????? Not Chikezie. I honestly did not think his performance was bad at all, it seemed at moments he had channeled Luther's spirit and I thought it was nice and very classy. Now what shocked me was Simon's response to Kristy Lee Cook's performance. It was not that good and sounded like a bad pageant performance or something you would hear at a Rodeo. Simon I am so disappointed in you and that you did not call her out at all. She is becoming similar to Carmen a few seasons back. Bad but keeps getting voting through anyways while people who are far better get voted off.

Dancing with the stars was pretty much expected. Penn had problems with those huge feet and Monica just was too stiff. I was so happy that Shannon from American Pie, she really did a great job her second time out. Kristy was good as expected. I also found out why Elvis's wifes face looks the way it does, apparently she had Silicon injected into her face by a Doctor who botched a lot of other peoples face the same way.

Cosplay Plans/Wish List

This year we are planning on adding Dragon*Con to the list of conventions we typically visit.

We tend to do about 1 or 2 costumes a year. This year we are going to try to top that and also upgrade some older costumes. Obviously these are subject to change. This is more like a wish list.

Idol vs Dancing

I'm a huge fan of both of these shows, and of course, last night they had to overlap! First Idol was on and I was disappointed that they had the Idols singing a second round of Beetles songs. I would have rather seen some variety in the show.

Momocon Review

Momocon started off with me waking up early but too tired to move. I had stayed up till about 3am trying to get everything I needed ready and waking up at 8:20 didn't help. Tomahawkchunker (my loving BF) was ready and at my house by 10am and I was about to eat breakfast and then needed to put my makeup on. After getting everything together we finally hit the road at 11:40am. Good job trying to leave early ><;

From Augusta, Atlanta is about 2.5 hours away. We where half way to Atlanta so we stopped to eat lunch. With every trip no matter how big or small I happen to leave something behind. This trip ended up being no different. When we pulled off the high way I realized I did not have my wallet O_o. I didn't have my drivers license, car insurance, debit card, or AAA card. I had NOTHING that identified me as being me PLUS I was the one driving. Of course I slow down my driving, instead of going about 15 to 20 over the speed limit and watching for cops I go 2-5 over hoping other people will speed past me and smoke out any cops.

Oh yea and Momocons new policy requiring IDs meant I needed to have Tomahawkchunker sign as my guardian. 25 years old and I had to have my younger boyfriend sign for me.
