I wrote my first article for The Convention Fans Blog on Momocon.
We came to our 6th MomoCon with low expectations due to how terrible last year’s experience was. In the past two years, MomoCon has been plagued with terrible weather and over crowding. This year the weather was wonderful and that made a huge difference in the con experience. After talking with a bunch of other con-goers the overall experience varied greatly from person to person. I’m glad to say that this year was actually enjoyable for us.

With Momocon coming up Adam and I have decided to try and make a new cosplay for this con. We have been working on and off since January and still have quite a bit to do. Since I have been wanting to cosplay from Vocaloid for awhile and already had Mikus wig we decided to cosplay Miku and Kaito together.
We are thinking about adding an out of state con like MTAC or something else in the south east. We have been asking for recommendations to see what we should add for 2011 con season. So let me know what cons are worth the trip and which ones to avoid.
FINALLY!
I went through all the photos and sorted out the truly bad from decent to good and uploaded those. We had some trouble with the camera taking photos of some events and unfortunately didn't get as many photos as we would have liked. Check out how close Adam and I where to Shatner & Nimoy ^_^
I am so glad I finally uploaded all these photos. Now all I have left to upload is Atlanta Anime Day, Mario and Luigi, and NYC photos. Also in the works is a false eyelash tutorial to unveil my secret weapon on putting those things on.
First I need to catch up on some other things that I should have posted about but got struck by Wedding Fever.
First things first. I wanted to mention on here (I mentioned it on LJ and Twitter) Adam and I where interviewed by Kelly from Convention Fans. This is a very up to date blog about everything going on with conventions. I was able to meet her in line for the Shatner/Nimoy panel at Dragon*Con and she is really sweet. This year we finally decided to rewear Jasmine and Aladdin after so many request. We are also upgrading some parts of the costume to look a bit better hopefully.
I still haven't posted the photos from Anime Day Atlanta and I WILL post those before I post my Dragon*Con photos. Things have gotten a little crazy so I haven't been able to update my site as much.
But we will be at Dragon*Con and AWA this year. So if you see us say Hi.
It's been awhile since I have posted. Life has gotten a bit crazy lately. I haven't focused much on Cosplay because I have been in Work and Wedding Mode.
We have decided to focus more on cosplay this summer so we can bring back Jasmine and Aladdin. This time I will focus on getting better photos and making the costume more comfortable for me and fix some of the details that I think we could have done better. I will be making an alternate design of hers as well. Hopefully all will work out.
The start of the Con season is approaching for me. Momocon is the first convention of the year for me. Unfortunately I don't end up going to any other conventions till Dragon*Con.
We are starting to plan ideas for cosplays but we will see what we end up actually having time for.
I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Years. I spent it with my family and brand new Fiance. I want to say good riddance to 2008. For me I had plenty of highs and lows this year. Looking back I found that this was a year of growth for me. I am looking forward to 2009 and planning my wedding and in 2010 getting married.
