Could this be a peak into how far Haruhiism has spread? Is Haruhi going to try to bring peace to the middle east. Could the Suzumiya Haruhi novels become the official religious text of Palestine.
Well obviously I am jumping ahead of myself. First is this photo a good shoop or is it legit?
This image is actually a legitimate image taken by AFP/MAHMUD HAMS. The article at AFPBB News using the image is in Japanese. It's an old article from Dec. 2006 showing kids protesting Hamas.
Why Haruhi? This is a bit confusing if you know anything about the show or read the novels Haruhi is pretty much God. Because of that I seriously doubt the person who made the sign knew who the character was or they knew and thought it would be funny to have a kid holding a sign of a false god. Maybe in Palatine Haruhi as god is an acceptable idea? Most likely they found the image of her doing her trademark pose and thought it looked good enough.
Is this the first steps to Haruhi taking the Middle East by storm and eventually bringing peach to the Middle East? Maybe if Haruhi thinks it's interesting enough.
yet another religion based on love and peace takes seed in the Middle East....
guess it's time to start another war :D
